About Mira Bergen

Mira Diana Bergen was born into a military family and has traveled extensively. She attended the University of South Florida and earned her degree in special education,which began a lifelong passion for community service. Her first career was in teaching, followed by publishing.

She arrived in Atlanta in 1974 and distinguished herself as a top ranked sales representative with Macmillan Publishing Company. In 1979, she became an Advertising Director for Atlanta Magazine. The contacts that she made through the magazine inspired a passion for retail real estate.

Her clients also benefit from her broad-based knowledge of retail requirements and communications needs acquired through years in promotional marketing, packaging, and sales.

In 1983, Mira's career as a retail real estate specialist began while commencing with a local shopping center developer, transitioning to a super-regional mall developer, and then in brokerage with a national brokerage firm.

In 1991 she founded her own company, and incorporated in 1996 as A Store is Born, Inc. with its focus on retail tenant consulting and representation. Mira has achieved Million Dollar Club status with the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors.

She has been listed in the National Registry of Who's Who and is a member of diverse professional organizations, including Fashion Group International and The International Council of Shopping Centers. Mira's commitment to her principles and strong business ethics has earned her the loyalty of many clients she has served since entering the field of real estate.
